The Titans Egyptians: secure gold for the Migdol transition
By AoM Guides · titans
Defend with specialized counters, support income with the Pharaoh, and prepare a safe gold route for the first Migdol army.
The transition starts on the map
In The Titans, Egyptian advancement needs a protected gold route and production ready to follow it. Identify where the first Migdol will stand and how its units will reach the front. If the replacement mine is controlled by the opponent, secure access before committing to the advance.
Treat monuments as infrastructure
Egyptians gain favor passively from monuments. Laborers do not pray at them, and owning more ordinary temples is not the same as buying additional favor income. Monuments are distinct structures in a progression, rather than an unlimited copy of the first statue. Inspect the available monument and the income you need before purchasing it.
Balance that investment against defense and advancement. A larger favor bank cannot train ordinary soldiers if the required food, wood, or gold is missing. Likewise, neglecting favor completely may leave the planned myth support unavailable when the age advance finishes. Budget for the intended composition rather than maximizing one resource in isolation.
Assign the Pharaoh to a real bottleneck
Empower a useful economic or production building during stable development, then change the assignment if an emergency makes another task more important. Preserve the Pharaoh’s path to safety. Sending the unit into a raid for a small benefit can remove both hero support and the empowerment that the economy was relying on.
Choose support around the god you are playing. Use Ra’s Priests for empowerment, Isis’s monument protection to support a defended area, or Set’s animal tools for information and pressure. Match the minor-god branch to the army and resources you intend to use.
Defend with a mixed counter army
Use Spearmen, Axemen, and Slingers for the targets they are designed to fight. The correct first troop can become the wrong mass composition when the opponent adds support. Scout the next wave and preserve enough flexibility to answer it.
Bring Priests when the enemy myth threat calls for them, and keep ordinary troops between them and a fast surround. A defensive fight near reinforcement can be preferable to chasing a mobile raid into open terrain. Protect usable income first; do not divide a small army so widely that every resource group loses separately.
Make the first Migdol cycle work
Construct the stronghold where builders and production can survive. A conservative position covering a mine may provide more strategic value than an extreme forward placement that needs an army you have not yet trained. Decide whether Chariot Archers, Camel Riders, or another available option answers the current fight.
Keep the escort and support ready during the transition. One expensive new unit does not replace a complete formation, and purchasing all its technologies at once can leave production empty. Establish continuous reinforcement before broadening the composition.
Use powers at the decision point
Egyptian god powers have limited uses in The Titans. Commit a cast when it protects miners, preserves the army, or opens the contested resource move. Keep its purpose clear before the battle starts so it is available at the point that decides the engagement.
In the replay, pause when the first Migdol troops arrive. Check safe gold, surviving counters, anti-myth support, and the next production cycle. If one is missing, improve that preparation before trying to shorten the age-up.
